Dean College

The Joan Phelps Palladino School of Dance at Dean College provides rigorous, well-rounded technical training within a purposeful liberal arts curriculum. Ideal for those pursuing performance, teaching, choreography, studio management and other allied fields, the bachelor’s degree program in dance is an ideal blend of the academic study and training needed to prepare students for success on and off-stage. In addition, we offer a B.F.A degree in dance, which focuses on performance and choreography, starting in Fall 2018.

Students study at least three genres each semester and learn both traditional and contemporary techniques. Beyond the classroom, students find plenty of opportunities to perform, choreograph, tour, intern and take master classes.
